The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), the German Rectors’ Conference (HRK) and the Universities of Alicante (Spain) and Saarland (Germany) jointly organised this new edition of the DIES-International Deans’ Course for Latin America that started on Monday, 21 September 2015

Twenty-five deans from Colombia, Chile, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama and Peru are attending the Module 1 at the University of Alicante from 21 to 25 September. Module 2 will go carry on with Module 2 at Saarland University the following week.

Representatives from Universidad Antonio Nariño, Colombia, Universidad Central, Colombia, Universidad Cooperativa de Colombia, Colombia, Universidad de Antioquia, Colombia, Universidad de Ibagué, Colombia, Universidad del Rosario, Colombia, Universidad Tecnológica de Pereira, Colombia, Universidad de Costa Rica, Costa Rica, Universidad de Concepción, Chile, Universidad de La Frontera, Chile, Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, Universidad Técnica de Ambato, Ecuador, Universidad de las Américas, Ecuador, Universidad del Azuay, Ecuador, Universidad Francisco Gavidia, El Salvador, Escuela Agrícola Panamericana El Zamorano, Honduras, Universidad Tecnológica Centroamericana, Honduras, Universidad de Monterrey, Mexico, Universidad La Salle Mexico, Mexico, Universidad Americana, Nicaragua, Universidad Autónoma de Chiriquí, Panama, Universidad Católica San Pablo, Peru, Universidad de Lima, Peru, and Universidad de Piura, Peru, are attending this 5-day course to develop and improve their competence in Quality Management Accreditation,  Strategic Planning and Finacial Management and Fundraising.

The IDCL 2015/16 staff hope that while they are here in both European universities their learning process is both pleasurable for them personally and beneficial for their home institutions.
